Idyllic Defeats See You At Peelers

Swedish Horse Power "GASTROMIN" Feed has proven to be a real success story for Idyllic

Laying her perfect 22-race win streak on the line in the $193,150 Nadia Lobell from the outside post position amidst of field of nine three-year-old pacing fillies, See You At Peelers was defeated by Idyllic in a shocker at The Meadows on Monday afternoon.

Heavy 1-5 favourite See You At Peelers and driver Marcus Johansson blasted to command off the gate and carved out brisk fractions of :26.1, :53.1 and 1:21.1 with Idyllic and David Miller advancing first up from fifth. The daughter of American Ideal-Magical Dreamer, who was within reach of 'Peelers' around the final turn, soared past the tiring pacesetter in the stretch to score the 1:50 track record triumph. Myluvmylife (Brian Sears) finished second off a pocket trip and Swinging Beauty (Doug McNair) was third.

See You At Peelers finished sixth in her first ever career loss.

"She raced unbelievably good," said Miller of his filly. "Last week [in the Valley Forge at Harrah's Chester] I got away third and made the same move and she wasn't wasn't there. My filly was much better today. With [See You At Peelers starting from] the outside post and [trainer Ron] Burke had three of them in there I wasn't sure what was going to happen, but I didn't think it would be easy."

Idyllic, Canada's 2010 Two-Year-Old Pacing Filly of the Year, has hit the board in all eight of her prior starts this season while chasing after See You At Peelers.

"It's our turn. That's an amazing horse and to beat her is an amazing thing," continued Miller. "She's been right there with 'Peelers' every week. I was surprised that she beat her and I was really surprised with the way she did it."

Idyllic paid $12 to win for the 5-1 upset. Casie Coleman trains the millionairess for the West Wins Stable of Cambridge, Ont., Michael La Cova and Joseph Lacova of West Islip, New York, and John Campagnuolo of Loxahatchee, Florida.

Ligamin (part 2)

The Hoof

The hoof is stable, elastic and very resistant andfor the horse, an important tactile organ.

Three layers of horn, the toplayer, the ground border of thewall and the insensitive laminaeform the hoof.

These three layers are intimately connected andform a unit, ”the wall”. Inside the horn the hoofmeat is contained. The corium produces or secreteskeratin and forms the horn.

The hoofs have a rich blood circulation and inthe deeper parts of the hoof the pedal and navicularbones are located.

The deep digital flexor tendon is attached to thelower side of the pedal bone. The navicularbursa lies between the navicular bone and thedeep digital flexor tendon.

The bottom of the hoof consists of the sole andfrog. The sole is concave towardsthe frog and is made of softerhorn than the wall of the hoof.

The frog consists more of elastickeratin than the sole or wall of thehoof does.

The mechanism of the hoof is themotion generated in the hoofwhile exposed to pressure or concussion.

Functional irregularities

Decreased blood circulation in the muscles ofthe shoulders and hindquarters affectjahablood circulation all the way down into thehoof.

If there is bad circulation inthe hoof they will be dryfrom the inside. It will be abase for cracks.Through the extreme pressurethe hoof is exposed to,during trotting or galloping, the position of the hoofmust be correct.

When allowed to grow too long, the hoof islikely to receive a hoofcrack. A hoof crack is notnormal; it is the result ofneglect.

Laminitis hoof is a commonexpression for anovergrown hoof. This iswhy it receives so called laminitis-ringsthough these can also appear on a badlytrimmed hoof. Fodder poisoning can causelaminitis and if the horse is given very coldwater it can cause laminitis.

Ligamin and PC #4 are fodder supplements. It contains mineralsWhentrottingthe hoofwill hitthegroundwith animpact ofapprox.3,000 lbsor more.

Ligamin (part 1)

Ligamin or PC #4 for the Hoof, Skeleton and Muscle System

LIGAMIN - FOR MUSCLE, JOINTS AND HOOFS

We have, based on our experiences, chosen to add micro doses of the active ingredients in the different products. Micro doses have proven to be a powerful and efficient way to
supply the organism with nutrient substrates.

This is how the body functions.
The Skeleton and Joints.
The locomotors system consists of the striated muscle, skeleton and the junctions of skeletal like joints and tendons. The skeleton is held together by bands and ligaments and they form attachments and levers for the muscles.

The skeleton of a mature horse consist of 205 bones and some cartilage. The function of the skeleton is both supportive and a supplier of calcium and phosphate. Some of the bone and bone marrow produces red and
white blood cells.

The Muscles
The skeletal muscles are the horse’s energy source. Nutrients, from metabolism, are carried to the muscles via the blood circulation, and the muscles make the fuel that supplies the energy. A horse’s skeletal muscles are very well developed and specially evolved for rapid movement. The connective tissue has an extensive blood circulation. The capillaries (the smallest blood vessels) form a very close net in the connective tissue. The majority of the muscle fibers are situated close to a capillary.

Pro - Combo #1 is the foundation for fast healing

PRO-COMBO #1 - A POWERFUL CATALYST
We have, based on our experiences, chosen to add micro doses of the active ingredients in the different products. Micro doses have proven to be a powerful and efficient way to supply the
organism with nutrient substrates.

Vitamin and Mineral
The body needs minerals to continue functioning. Vitamins, enzymes, hormones and proteins are among the groups that depend on minerals for continued efficiency in the body. Minerals interact with proteins in order to built up and repair the cells. The chemical mechanism of cells obtain their energy by using binding energy and the positive and negative charges from the various nutrients. When producing the products we have utilized this natural energy. The electromagnetic pattern is one of the major principles that make Pro-Combo #1 an invaluable catalyst for the assimilation of nutrients. The assimilation of nutrients contained in the
fodder improves significantly when Pro-Combo #1 is added as a feed supplement.

Lactose as the carrier massLactose is an energy supplying carbohydrate which is favorable for the blood glucose. The blood glucose level is determined by the carbohydrate type. Lactose is a disaccharide (di = 2) which is
transformed in to glucose and galactose. These two types of saccarids are competing of being utilized of the blood which slows down the process of hyper glycaemia. Lactose will promote a steady blood glucose level. Galactose is important for the brain. Glucose is transformed in to glycogen and thereafter stored as  energy in the liver and muscles. Lactose  will also promote a healthy intestinal flora of the hind gut.

Pro-Combo #1
Pro-Combo #1 is an Extra Strength Performance and Endurance Enhancement formula. A combination of Minesyl, Ferromin, Macromin and Vitomin-E is recommended when your horse is lacking that ”second wind” necessary to cross the finishing line with a winning time. This highly praised combination builds stamina, increases endurance; improving the overall physical performance. The nutrients in Pro-Combo #1 has a nutritional balancing function. In will balance the horse’s pH level and electrolytes. Pro-Combo #1 will significantly prolong the lifespan of the red blood cells and increase the oxygen transportation from the lungs to the muscles. The blood values improve rapidly after treatment has started.  Pro-Combo #1 also promote more rhythmic and well coordinated movements by transmitting normal impulses from nerves to muscles.
Minesyl and PC #1 is the foundation for fast healing In order to quickly heal an injury or other illness, the body needs particular cell nutrition that expedites the healing process and that is the reason we always recommend Minesyl and PC #1 in combination with any other product.

Pro-Combo is the foundation for fast healing. In order to quickly heal an injury or other illness, the body needs particular cell nutrition that expedites the healing process. It strengthens the immune defense system. Pro-Combo #1 also strengthens the immune defense system after a vaccination.

Daily Used Pro-Combo #1 may be used as an every day nutritional supplement, without harmful side effects or fear for overdoses.

Arch Madness set a track and world record

Arch Madness improved his seasonal earnings to $471,910 for owners Marc Goldberg and Barry Goldstein's Willow Pond LLC. His
career total is now $2.9 million.

Arch Madness set a track and world record for an older trotting gelding with a 1:50.2 clocking in the
$220,750 Titan Cup on Saturday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Arch Madness cleared the lead from Lucky Jim after a :55.1 half and drew off to an eight-length victory.
He supplanted Victory Tilly's 2002 record (for geldings five years old and up) in the Nat Ray by two-fifths
of a second. Lucky Jim was far behind in second, while Slave Dream picked up the show money.
Driven by Brian Sears, Arch Madness earned his first Titan Cup trophy in his fourth attempt. He paid
$2.60.
"We were stepping out of there and it looked like they were going to mix it up early," Sears said. "I let it
play out and it worked out well. He's super sharp; they've done a great job with him."
Arch Madness, trained by Trond Smedshammer, is now two-for-two since returning from a short
campaign in Europe. The seven-year-old gelding has won seven of eight starts in 2011, including the
Oslo Grand Prix. His only loss this year came in Sweden's Elitlopp. He won his elimination race before
finishing sixth in the same-day final on May 29 at Solvalla.
"He is starting to live up to what we thought he could do," Smedshammer said. "He has had some
bumps along the road. He always showed greatness, but he wasn't always the most consistent horse.
This is the horse we thought he would be as an aged horse. I thought he would show it as a five-year-
old. He didn't have a great year then, but this is certainly his year now."

Hair Analysis

Hair analysis has been popular with naturopaths for many years, and for 30 years Europeans have been applying this technology to their horses. When Standardbred racehorses came to Canada from Europe, this practice came with them. Naturopaths work toward optimum health; not just fixed on fixing health problems, these specialists push horses in the direction of perfection. Hair analysis provides them with a tool to determine a horse’s weak points by pinpointing nutritional deficiencies and exposure to toxins.
Twenty years ago, Hans and Elizabeth Söderström started their company in Sweden to provide hair analysis as a diagnostic tool and products to address non-optimal equine conditions diagnosed, including gastric conditions that could lead to decreased performance and eventually illness and even death.

Elisabeth Söderström, who runs the United States’ distribution point for Swedish Horsepower, is based in Clearwater, Florida. She enthusiastically shares successes from clients who’ve experienced miracles with the company’s supplements.
A heartwarming story comes from Texas, where doting grandparents gave their young granddaughter an aging and gentle broodmare, a perfect first horse for a child. Unfortunately, the mare developed diarrhea lasting for months, and no treatments seemed to work. The young girl faced the loss of her new friend, so the grandparents turned to Swedish Horsepower. Joann suggested Gastromin to address the gastric issues, and the mare was started on the supplement.
A week later, Elisabeth received a welcome phone call. The grandfather had gone into the barn and begun shouting. His wife rushed to him, expecting, as she had been for days, to find the mare down and unable to rise. Instead, she found her husband, triumphantly holding a handful of manure aloft, exclaiming “This is the first solid poop she’s had in months!”
Today, the mare is doing fine and the granddaughter is enjoying her first horse.
Increased performance brings racehorse trainers to Swedish Horsepower. Successful harness racing trainers Erv Miller and Trond Smedshammer are listed among Swedish Horsepower’s satisfied customers. On a racetrack, optimum conditioning can shave the fraction of a second off a horse’s time that makes the difference between first place and out of the money.
Another satisfied customer is barrel racer Emma Haynes. She began supplementing her eight-year-old Quarter Horse mare, LA Showtime, with Pre and Post Competition, designed to increase the effectiveness of the circulatory system and thus improve performance. With the help of this supplement, Emma and LA Showtime shaved a full second off their racing time.
And about those deer…in Indiana, a deer farmer has found that by supplementing the fawns as they are weaned, they show fewer symptoms of stress. The common “weanling diarrhea” is eliminated, and they grow larger and stronger.
There are many symptoms and indications that a horse may be experiencing some non-optimal physical condition that can be addressed nutritionally, such as stiff neck and shoulder muscles, problems with the knees and front vertebra joints, tension in the groin, poor and dull coat, colic, sluggishness in the muscles, poor appetite, weight loss, significant increases in the production of saliva or dry mouth and swollen glands under the jawbone. Or perhaps you just want to boost your horse’s performance in a competitive field.

Horse Natural Products

Swedish Horse Power
has developed all natural products, through years of clinical studies, the process of hair analysis, has aided, in their development.

Horses are a grazing animal, and by its' nature, dependent on herbs with high nutritition. Since ancient times the horse has migrated over large areas,  in search of suitable grazing areas. Natural instincts led the native horse to the proper grazing areas, where they could find the necessary herbs, that were important to their health. Today, the grazing areas are often fenced in, and lack the combination of needed herbs, for proper feeding. Regardless of how well the horse's instincts are developed, the horse cannot find the needed nutrition. A grazing horse spends about 15- 18 hours per day, eating.

Since the horse can no longer naturally find most of these herbs, these all natural supplements, are the perfect alternative, to his well being, and enables your horse to live a healthy, long life.

The basic philosophy behind the treatment with our products is to locate the cause of the different symptoms in a horse. These symptoms, are very often caused, by an accumulation of waste products, and toxins, in the detoxifying organs, large intestine, kidney's and lungs, and the skin.

Our products help to detoxify the horses system, and aid in the horse's own healing process.

We recommend that a horse of about 1,200 lbs. should eat 18-22 lbs. of good quality hay divided into four feedings. It should be offered in the same manner as when it grazes. If the horse is on good pasture, 24 hours a day, the amount of hay, can be cut out entirely or divided,  into 2 feedings per day. We also recommend whole oats, approximately 7-10 lbs. per day, divided into at least two feedings, more or less depending upon the work load, and over all condition of the horse, since they are all individuals, that must be taken into consideration, for some easy keepers, 2 lbs. per feeding may be enough, horses also need sugar to maintain healthy bacterial flora in the guts. Sugar beet pulp, (soaked, in plenty of fresh clean water), contains much energy, this sugar based food, is suitable as an energy complement, Molasses, also posses much energy, and can be given for replenishment of needed energy, and the horse must have ample access to plenty of fresh clean water.

This type of feeding schedule helps your horse maintain it's natural, healthy, way of life, when processed foods are given, many of the nutrients, are actually depleted, leaving the manufacturers, no other choice, but to add certain vitamins and minerals, before it is processed.

Titan Cup at the Meadowlands Racetrack

Standard Bread Canada

Arch Madness will make his first start since May’s Elitlopp when he faces five foes Friday, June 24 in a prep race for the Titan Cup at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Ten older trotters entered the Titan Cup, so eliminations are unnecessary.  Arch Madness will start the prep from Post 6 and will be joined by, from the rail, Buck I St Pat, Pilgrims Chuckie, Enough Talk, Slave Dream, and Four Starz Speed. Skipping the prep, but participating in the $235,000 Titan Cup final on July 2, will be Corleone Kosmos, Lucky Jim, Neighsay Hanover, and Sir Caviar.

Arch Madness has won five of six races this year and earned $341,545. He won three times in the U.S. before heading overseas and winning the $480,647 Oslo Grand Prix on May 15. He then won his elimination for the Elitlopp, on May 29 in Sweden, before finishing sixth in the same-day final.

“He seems good,” trainer Trond Smedshammer said. “He came back from Sweden real good; good and sound, healthy. The only thing that I could see that went wrong over there is it looked like he tied up a little bit for the Elitlopp. That’s the only thing I could see that was wrong there.”
A seven-year-old gelding, Arch Madness has won 24 of 64 career races and earned $2.8 million for owners Marc Goldberg and Willow Pond.
